Josh’s father, Mr. Stewart, is an archeology professor at the university. He frequently travels throughout the world on archeological digs. Ashley thinks it’s so cool that he’s Donnybrook’s very own Indiana Jones!
Mrs. Stewart is a stay-at-home mom who enjoys playing Scrabble and volunteering at the library. Josh’s parents appear in Ashley Enright Investigations and Ashley Enright and the Mystery at Miller’s Pond. They are very proud of their son’s artistic ability.
Kaitlyn is a lifeguard at Miller’s Pond who befriends Ashley and Josh. She is an art student at the university and has gone all through school with Carolanne (the waitress at Ella’s Sweet Shop.) She is known in town for doing beautiful watercolor paintings.

Ella’s Sweet Shop is Ashley and Josh’s favorite place to go for lunch in Donnybrook. The shop has an old fashioned soda fountain, delicious burgers and a penny candy table closely watched over by Ella. Carolanne is their favorite waitress. Ashley’s favorite lunch is a tuna melt and milk. Josh always orders a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake.
Ella’s Sweet Shop is featured in Ashley Enright Investigations and Ashley Enright and the Mystery at Miller’s Pond.
Fred Beasley is a young officer with the Donnybrook Police Department. He gives school presentations on safety, the danger of drugs and alcohol and stranger danger. He is liked and trusted by all of the kids in Donnybrook. He frequently helps Ashley and Josh with their investigations.
He is featured in Ashley Enright Investigations and Ashley Enright and the Mystery at Miller’s Pond.
Carolanne is the waitress at Ella’s Sweet Shop. She’s studying early childhood education at the University and works at Ella’s Sweet Shop during the summer and school breaks to make extra money for school. She used to babysit for Ashley and Kelly when Ashley was younger and has an internship at Kelly’s school. Her favorite phrase when approaching customers is “Hey, hey, what’ll it be today?”

Ashley and the entire Enright family wish you a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Six-year-old Kelly is all excited because there’s a rainbow in the sky. She, Ashley and Gram are going to follow it to see if they find a pot of gold guarded by a leprechaun!
