Ashley Enright and the Snow Day Adventure (8 of 9)

February 16, 2008

Mr. Enright walked back into the kitchen and said, “Well, what shall we do now on this cold, snowy day?”

“Game time!” said Ashley and Kelly in unison.

“I guess so,” he laughed.

“Let’s move into the living room by the fireplace,” said Ashley’s mother.

“O.k.,” said Ashley’s father. “What shall we play?”

Clue,” said Ashley.

“No way,” said Kelly. “That’s just too hard and you always win!”

Ashley laughed and said, “Well, we’re certainly not going to play Candyland.”

Kelly stuck her tongue out at her sister.

“Now, girls,” said Ashley’s mother. “What about Tripoly?” Tripoly was one of the Enright’s favorite games that used Heart, Poker and Michigan Rummy.

“O.k.,” said Kelly. “Sometime I can win that if someone helps me!”

“I’ll help you, my favorite little pip squeak,” said Ashley’s father.

“O.k., but I am not a pip squeak!” said Kelly.

Everybody laughed and settled by the fireplace to spend the rest of the snowy day playing games.
